Order of the Vulture was working on a lot of new material after recording Christ Killer and were excited to start tracking a full length. J.J.’s was friends with a guy who was an engineer at a local studio. He agreed to record us for free. We could go into the studio and whatever we got done in 1 day he would do for free. We brought a 5th of Jack Daniels and a ton of beer and set to tracking several songs. By the time we were listening back to the last vocal tracks, the dude has pasted out drunk and we were unable to leave with a final mix. In fact, it took several years to get the Reel to Reel tape from him as well. Eventually we did and took that into The Ship and had Mike Stanioch and had him track some additional guitars and conduct a proper mix down of this session.
Here we present that last Demo. Some tracks that were later recorded in totality at The Ship by Mike Stanioch. Along with these versions is also another lost track from the Recordings that made of the First 2 LPs of Order of the Vulture. A rendition of Murder System done in the style of G.I.S.M.
All of this music has previously been unreleased.
